Why AD5 Fitness?
As a fully qualified Personal Trainer for over 10 years, I have worked within many different environments.
I’ve always been an advocate that your mindset gets you everywhere in life.
A = Attitude
D = Determination
5 components of fitness; Strength, Speed. Power, Agility and Endurance.
Starting at Mar Hall Hotel Gym, working with professional athletes and a host of celebrities, I then moved on to Pure Gym to further my experience in the industry.
Before finally taking the leap and moving into my own premises and basing myself from here – where I am still based 7 years on.
Alongside this, I worked with Hibernian Football Club for over 8 years, allowing my knowledge to grow when working in an environment with professional athletes.
This allowed me to take on a new type of client, where I now have a large number who are involved in football – ranging from 8 years old to first team football at a professional level. Many of the younger clients who started out at boys club level, are now based in professional clubs in both Scotland and England.
At AD5 Fitness, we are fully committed and determined to helping ALL our members and clients reach fitness targets whilst also promoting a happy and healthy lifestyle!

Online Coaching
If you are unable to attend sessions in a gym, or like to train alone in your own time either at home or in the gym, AD5 Fitness can design an online training programme tailored to suit your every needs.
Online training allows you to work closely with ourselves, and be anywhere in the world.
We will be using a digital journal that you will be able to download. And throughout the duration of our time training together, we will be able to keep in touch via whatsapp or your preferred choice of communication.
Our 6 week and 12 week programmes which are used by many online clients, and one-to-one clients, are the most popular for achieving results.
Each individual programme will be altered, depending on what your goals are.
Sport Specific Training
For the last 6 years, we have had a lot of clients with a football background joining AD5 Fitness in order to progress their career.
Every client was at a different stage – some were just starting at boys club level, some were at a more advanced stage looking to improve their strength, muscle conditioning, and fitness. Others were looking to improve their technical ability for their specific position.
By using my experience as a Personal Trainer, and also my experience as a First Team Scout and Analyst at Hibernian, I was able to put into place the perfect Individual Development Plan (IDP) for each individual client.
This has seen clients progress onto clubs such as Celtic, Livingston, St Mirren, Motherwell, Barnsley, Exeter, Hamilton, as well as many others. One of the clients even fulfilled his ambition of moving to play his football in America at the age of only 20 years old.
Recently, we have been working closely with young rugby players, boxers, dancers and basketball players – and like the football players, we are really focussing on muscle strength and conditioning, but keeping the programme and progression very specific to that particular client and sport.
Each client has their different strengths and weaknesses, often depending on the role in their sport . We take all this into account when creating their programme, and ensure that each target is being met as quickly as possible.
Here at AD5 Fitness, we aim to get my clients to the highest level possible in as quick a time as possible. We will work hard in order to improve all aspects both technically and physically, and help progress your career as far as you can.
And in the future, we will be expanding our athlete range and helping new clients in different sports.
